Yume Kikuchi, a young girl with magical abilities, travels to Tokyo in search of an apprenticeship under the skilled Masami Oyamada, a professional mage. During her time in Tokyo, she learns about magic and its applications, as well as other important aspects of being a mage. However, Yume soon discovers that possessing magical powers alone is not enough to ensure true happiness.
