The world is on the brink of destruction as monstrous beings known as Vertexes fall from the sky, causing chaos and devastation. These creatures are sent by divine powers and seek to destroy humanity. Despite the attacks, the regions of Shikoku and Nagano remain unscathed. In response to the invasion, girls with exceptional abilities called Heroes awaken and receive divine powers from earthly gods. Assisted by shrine maidens who can hear the voices of deities, these heroes are the only ones capable of fighting back against the Vertexes. Among the chosen protectors is Wakaba Nogi, a determined individual driven by her unwavering desire for revenge on behalf of the countless innocent lives lost. Leading the first-generation Hero Team in Shikoku, Wakaba and her companions confront the Vertexes head-on, testing their bonds as they overcome numerous challenges in this harsh reality.

Nogi Wakaba wa Yuusha de Aru was adapted into drama CDs that were released from August 14, 2016 to December 29, 2016.
