The story revolves around a girl named Akane who excelled at kendo in school. She dreamt of facing off against her friend and rival, Taki, in an official match. In her final elementary school contest, they finally clashed swords for the first time. Although Akane believed she was evenly matched with Taki, she was taken aback when his abilities outshone hers. Despite feeling discouraged, Akane remained determined to improve and surpass Taki. Her tenacity drew the attention of another boy.
