The narrative revolves around Kozue Ayuhara, a new student at Fujimi College who tries out for their volleyball team. As she becomes friends with Midori and impresses coach Honga, her relationship with Yoshimura, the current star player, deteriorates. Being at the top brings stress, conflicts, and other challenges to Kozue's life. Her aspiration to become the best volleyball player in Japan and eventually the world sets the stage for the drama that unfolds.
