The entrance to Kingdom Hearts was closed, causing great distress for the Heartless and returning peace to the world. However, Riku and King Mickey were left trapped inside. As Sora, Donald, and Goofy searched for their friends, they stumbled upon Castle Oblivion, where they encountered a hooded figure who stated that they must surrender something valuable in order to obtain what they sought. Could it be anything more precious than their own memories? And what is it that Organization XIII desires with them?

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is based on Square Enix's Game Boy Advance video game of the same title.The series was first published in English by Tokyopop from October 10, 2006 to February 13, 2007. Yen Press re-published the series in an omnibus on June 25, 2013.
