In this story, a man who was 34 years old dies in a traffic accident while trying to save someone else's life. After his death, he wakes up as a baby named Rudeus Greyrat in a new world with magic. His parents are Paul and Zenith Greyrat, who are adventurers. Rudeus has an innate talent for magic that is recognized when he is two years old. Roxy Migurdia is brought to his home to refine him into a mage. Rudeus possesses a great deal of magical power and knowledge from his previous world. He aims to fulfill his only wishes from his past life by not repeating his mistakes and dying without any regrets.
