The narrative commences with teppei takamiya, who journeys from kamui island to china. his objective is to reunite with koutarou, his sibling who departed for germany five years ago to pursue a degree in robotics at a university. however, fate has other plans; soon after koutarous exhibition of an advanced form of machinery, he gets kidnapped by a mecha that resembles a wasp and serves as the emissary of the machine empire. teppei embarks on a pursuit, wielding a gauntlet known as "messiah fist" to grasp onto the wasp while it travels towards an enigmatic base in the gobi desert that is the headquarters of the empire. during his journey, he encounters a cyborg whom he recognizes and awakens a relic from the past; a kirin-type bt known as "x," which five years ago was deemed the most potent bt in existence. despite their initial disagreements, x agrees to assist teppei in his quest to rescue koutarou.
