It is important to note that no one is entirely good or evil; every character is a multifaceted individual with their own motivations and reasons for their actions. Leo, the protagonist of this story, finds himself in an unfamiliar situation as he struggles to control his newfound powers while navigating through life's challenges. Unlike the typical portrayal of werewolves in American movies, Leo is not a helpless killer but rather a person trying to find purpose and meaning in his transformed existence.

Leo was first published in English as Lycanthrope Leo in standard comic book format by VIZ Premiere Comics in 1994, and had a run of 7 issues. VIZ Media later published the first volume of the series on January 5, 1999, but dropped the series without releasing more volumes.
