In a society divided between humans and beastmen, Uruto, who is half of both species, faces discrimination from both groups. His only friend, Leo, accepts him as he is, but Uruto longs to fulfill Leo's wish of avenging his sister's death by killing the beastman responsible. To achieve this goal, he dreams of joining the "Narukami," an anti-beastman unit. On the day of his enlistment examination, Uruto must make a crucial decision in order to fulfill Leo's wish.
