Greetings and welcome to ponpo land, where humans and animals live together peacefully. officer daifuku has recently joined the police force with a desire to combat crime. however, his duties have been assigned to the lost children's division, which is relatively calm compared to other units. one day, while on patrol, he encounters a "lost" kitten who turned out to be a runaway feline. when her father arrives to pick up the lost kitten, daifuku becomes fascinated by this new cat in town.
