Takanashi was previously a Career Consultant but is currently employed at a school as a Guidance Counselor. In his meetings with students during their career guidance sessions, he imparts information about the realities of the world in order to help them reassess their aspirations. As a result of this approach, students have started referring to him as "The Dream Crusher".
