Thanks to recent developments in cloning technology, humans have gained eternal life through the use of Arcadia, the ultimate regeneration system. This innovation promised salvation from absolute death for all mortals. However, there was one flaw - memories could only be successfully implanted into cloned bodies of teenagers. This issue became more significant with the outbreak of war, leading to the deployment of these immortal children to the front lines. Akito Ichinose was one such individual, a second lieutenant in the United States of Elmea Army. Despite his poor performance in military duties, he was ordered to lead his platoon on a salvage mission for top-secret information with a survival rate of almost zero. During this operation, Akito saved his teammates from a sudden enemy attack and encountered his arch-enemy, Philia Loadrain of the Lorelia Federation. Tragically, they were cut off from the surface and unable to respawn. Despite their differences in personality and skillset, Akito and Philia had no choice but to work together to make their way back up to the surface.
