In the late years of the Civil War era and during Toyotomi Hideyoshi's reign, people were cautious about their behavior to avoid drawing attention to themselves (and potentially facing death). However, there was one individual who stood out for his wild personality, appearance, and actions. The series follows Keiji Maeda as he navigates personal conflicts with his adopted family, engages in brave combat exploits, travels to the capital, interacts with notable figures such as Iyeyasu Tokugawa, Rikyuu the tea master, and Hideyoshi himself, and experiences encounters with both foreigners and Japanese Christian believers.
