In a futuristic city with advanced humanoid robot technology, Kenichi, a young detective, becomes entangled in a conflict involving Duke Red, a powerful politician who is devastated by the death of his child. To cope with his grief, he hires a scientist to create a replacement - an exquisitely beautiful and sex-changing robot child named Mitchy. While this manga provides only part of the plot for the recent Metropolis movie, it does not include Rock's role, which was adapted from other Tezuka manga such as Phoenix, Nextworld, and others.
