Greetings from Venus Vangard. We are delighted to have you here. Sumire Takahana is a typical school girl who possesses an extraordinary ability to perceive malevolent spirits called "Viruses." Her life takes a significant turn following her encounter with Lucia Nahashia, a monster hunter dressed in gothic lolita attire. Instead of remaining passive while these "Viruses" harm the innocent, Sumire decides to collaborate with Lucia, who wears an eyepatch, to track down and eradicate these sinister entities.

Venus Versus Virus was published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment from July 24, 2007 to March 2, 2010.The series has spanned to include a drama CD adaptation released on October 25, 2006 and a 12-episode anime which aired from January 11 to March 29, 2007.
