In 300X, Earth faces a threat from the ruthless Maruhage Empire that aims to eradicate all hair on the planet. However, one individual with an afro stands up against them. This person has the unique ability to communicate with other people's hair and uses their own nasal hair to combat the bald henchmen of the Maruhage Empire. His name is Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo was published in English by VIZ Media starting with a compilation volume under the Shonen Jump Advanced imprint featuring chapters from volumes 9 and 10, which was released on November 5, 2005. After serialization in the US edition of Shonen Jump began in July 2007, publication of the manga started at volume 11, but were re-labeled as volume 1 from August 5, 2008 to October 5, 2010 for five volumes, ending at volume 15. It was also published in Spanish by Planeta Comic from November 2007 to May 2011.
