Tamura Yumi's X-Day is a collection of four one-shots that depict tragic misunderstandings and their consequences. 4nin no Onna is a famous, wealthy hotel owner found dead in his room, with the police investigating the crime scene and interviewing the longtime maid who claims her master was killed by four women. Kanojo wa Dare wo Koroshitaka tells of a woman discovered covered in blood on Tokyo's streets, confessing to having killed someone, leading a policeman to read her diary for clues about what happened. Hirotta Otoko follows the Makis family, who appear perfect in commercials but are forced to confront their true selves when they pick up George, almost running him over on their way to their winter lodge.

X-Day was published in English by Tokyopop from August 12 to October 14, 2003. It has also been published in Italian by Flashbook Edizioni, German as Tag X by Tokyopop Gmbh and Indonesian by m&c!.
