For many years, Turkey and the Balt-Rhein Empire have been at odds with each other. One evening, a minister from the imperial government is killed, which leads to a tense situation between the two nations. The generals of the Turkish council call for war, but Mahmut discovers that the assassination was orchestrated by someone else. This sets off a battle for peace, trust in others, and the future of Turkey.

Shoukoku no Altair won the 41st Kodansha Manga Awards in the shounen category.The series has been published digitally in English as Altair: A Record of Battles by Kodansha Comics USA since March 21, 2017.
