Kagemaro is a young ninja from Iga who loves eating, hence his nickname Kabamaru. After losing his grandfather and sensei, he moves to Tokyo with one of their acquaintances. The story focuses on how Kabamaru adapts to city life after growing up in the mountains and getting entangled in the conflict between two private schools.
