Maria kawai leaves st. katria girls school and joins touzuka public high school. her arrival causes excitement because st. katria has a strong academic reputation, and maria is adorable. however, when her classmates speculate about why she transferred, she reveals that she was expelled from st. katria for attacking her former teacher. despite her cute appearance, maria is honest and tells the truth without regard for social niceties, earning her the nickname "devil."
