In a mystical realm known as Jewel Land, enchanted magicians transformed the beloved pets of the inhabitants into precious gems to enable them to journey through an enchanted forest. However, with the exception of Ruby, a mischievous white rabbit who enjoys playing pranks, the other animals were able to travel together in their gem-like forms. One day, a powerful wind swept across Takaragaseki City on Earth and scattered the gems throughout the city. As punishment for her misbehavior, Ruby was sent to Earth to retrieve her friends. On Earth, Rinko, an observant student, witnessed a group of shooting stars falling from the sky and one of them landed in her water glass, transforming into a brilliant red jewel. The following day, she and her friend Minami were saved by Keigo Taitō from a jewelry store robbery. He revealed that he was part of an organization connected to the magicians of Jewel Land and informed them about the existence of the enchanted pets known as the Jewelpets. Rinko awakened Ruby, and later met Alice, who joined their quest to reunite all the Jewelpets with their owners in Jewel Land before an evil Jewelpet named Diana could seize control of them first. As they journeyed through both worlds, new discoveries about the magical creatures were made, but danger loomed as Diana, another powerful Jewelpet who wielded dark magic, awoke from his gem-like state and began causing chaos in both realms. The heroes must now confront him and restore balance to both worlds.
