Ryuuzaki Ikuo and Tatsuya Danno were once part of a content family at Mahoroba Orphanage with their cherished teacher Yuiko. She played an integral role in shaping them into who they are today, and her demise left them devastated. On one fateful night, they witnessed her murder, leading to the revelation that there was more to this crime than what met the eye. The police compelled Ryuuzaki and Tatsuya to remain silent about the incident. With no other recourse, they embarked on a journey to uncover the truth behind Yuiko's death. Despite the risks involved, their determination to seek justice propelled them forward. Fifteen years later, Ryuuzaki joined the Shinjuku Police Department and rose through the ranks as its second-in-command investigator. Meanwhile, Tatsuya became a prominent member of the yakuza. Driven by vengeance for their teacher's murder and love for her, they united to bring justice to those responsible.

Ouroboros: Keisatsu wo Sabaku wa Ware ni Ari was adapted into a Japanese drama series under the title Ouroboros. The drama starred popular actors such as Toma Ikuta, Juri Ueno and Shun Oguri who also appeared in live action movie adaptations of Crows Zero and Gintama. The drama was aired on TBS network from January 16, 2015 to March 20, 2015.
