At Seika Women's High School, there is an archery club coach and math teacher named Maejima who has been targeted for murder by someone. Despite several failed attempts, he remains unharmed due to sheer chance. The school principal wants to keep the matter under wraps and avoid involving law enforcement. As all faculty members and students are potential suspects, can Maejima solve this mystery before it's too late?

Houkago is an adaptation of Higashino Keigos mystery novel by the same title. Despite it being his first published novel, it received the 31st Edogawa Ranpo Award for best mystery in 1985.
