At the start of the Meiji Era, the world is undergoing significant changes. Misao, who grew up in a traditional lifestyle as a courtesan in the pleasure quarters, believes that his life will always remain unchanged. Emotions are capricious and can shift with each passing moment. However, everything changes when the son of a wealthy man visits Misao's teahouse. For the first time, Misao opens up about his feelings and pursues this newfound love despite the uncertainty that comes with it.
