Ichirou Kobayashi describes his initial impression of Ryuuga Hinomori as someone who would typically be seen in an anime. However, as time went on, his thoughts evolved into conviction that Ryuuga rarely talks about his past and often slips out of class. He also notes that whenever Ryuuga returns from being absent, he appears exhausted with torn clothing and bleeding lips. Additionally, Ichirou mentions that there are always beautiful women surrounding Ryuuga, such as Shiori Yukimiya, Rei Aogasaki, and Elmira McCartney. This causes Ichirou to become overly enthusiastic and make a fuss by asking questions like "How did you get acquainted with Yukimiya?" and "Why did Aogasaki come to specifically meet Ryuga?" or "What do you see in Ryuga, Elmira?" Despite this, Ichirou acknowledges that his life's calling is to support Ryuuga as a close friend character, and he presents himself as co-starring best friend in a rom-com featuring Ichirou Kobayashi.
