Sakuma is a college student who works part time at Akutabe's detective agency. She performs regular office tasks for private investigator Akutabe. However, she soon discovers that Akutabe is not an ordinary detective but rather a demon detective. He can summon demons using a grimoire and use their special abilities by offering them something in return. Sakuma learns that he uses the magical powers of these demons to solve cases. He wants her to start learning how to summon demons as well. As she begins her journey, Sakuma is unaware of the consequences of using demons.
