Kisekae Yuka-chan originally ended on October 26, 2007 (Cookie 2007-12) after Cookies editorial department informed readers (in the prior issue) that the series would end in the next chapter. Mangaka Akiko Higashimura was not informed about this and after an agreement between the two, the series resumed on May 26, 2008 (Cookie 2008-07) and has been published irregularly ever since.
