The narrative revolves around Chandra Nalaar, a youthful firemage who undergoes training at Kerald Keep in the mountains. However, life presents challenges as the Order of Heliud, an authoritarian group of mages, seeks to expand its control over the land and encroach upon the woodlands near the keep. This threatens everything that Chandra holds dear: freedom, individuality, self-determination, and above all, her love for blowing things up. As a result, she is tasked with investigating the Order but her impulsive nature may lead to significant difficulties.
