Nana lacked recollections of his early years until age 12 when a store owner took him in and gave him the name Nana, meaning "no-name" in Japanese. Mitsuha is on a mission to locate a lost childhood companion. The two encounter one another when Mitsuha accidentally ends up at Nana's residence due to the urging of a mutual friend. Initially, Nana feels hostile towards Mitsuha's existence. Nevertheless, he begins to appreciate Mitsuha's sincerity and compassion, ultimately discovering joy in sharing moments with him.
Seven was published in English by Digital Manga Publishing on January 13, 2007, with a digital release from the same publisher June 25, 2009.
