Ichiro has always been overshadowed by his older sister Rei, who excelled as the student body president in high school. Despite being the student body president at middle school, Ichiro felt weary of the responsibility and yearned for freedom. This led him to enroll at Yashio Academy, a newly established institution where he would begin anew with his first class as pioneers. On his way to Yashio, Ichiro encountered Hatsuse Sakuno, and upon entering the school together, it was announced that he had been elected as the new student body president. Although Ichiro struggled against destiny, he eventually agreed to assume the role of student body president on one condition: Sakuno would serve as his co-president.
