In a family restaurant located in Hokkaido, Japan's northern prefecture, Souta Takanashi is employed part-time alongside his unusual colleagues. Popura Taneshima, a 16-year-old high school student who resembles an elementary/middle schooler, and Kyoko Shirafuji, the 28-year-old store manager who doesn't engage in any work, are Souta's coworkers.
