ef - a fairy tale of the two.

The narrative centers around Hirono Hiro, a destitute high school student who earns a living by drawing shounen manga. On a chilly Christmas Eve, he encounters an enigmatic woman in church and loses his bike to another mysterious girl. Later, he discovers that Miyamura Miyako has also been robbed of her bag by a man on a motorcycle. Despite this setback, they develop a friendship and enjoy their high school years together. Hiro's life is significantly influenced by Shindou Kei, his childhood companion.
