The 78th class at Hopes Peak Academy has 15 elite high school students. Graduating from this school is challenging, but it's believed that doing so guarantees success in life. However, achieving graduation requires a difficult task - killing one of your peers and escaping without being caught. If the other students find out who did it, they will be punished. But if they can't identify the killer, only the murderer will graduate while the others face punishment. Which student will make it through the lessons unscathed? This adaptation focuses on the perspectives of the other students.

Danganronpa: Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei was originally serialized on Famitsu Comic Clear, and a booklet compiling the series was given to those who preordered the game from GameTSUTAYA and WonderGOO.
