The Kamakurahama High School water polo team has recently gained a new star player, Torii Ushio. Although she may seem quiet and reserved in class, Nakaoka Riku was pleasantly surprised by her impressive athletic skills on the field. However, after practice one evening, he discovered that Ushio harbors a secret which she had kept hidden from everyone - her family runs a temple, and Ushio is the priestess to the dragon god. Sango, the descendant of the original dragon god, is a teenage girl who lives in a secluded underwater cave with Ushio as her only friend and protector. When circumstances arise, Sango decides to join the water polo team to be near Ushio, impressing the team with her extraordinary swimming abilities.
