Unrequited love is a difficult situation where there's no easy fix. It can take many forms but shares the same overwhelming feeling of longing that you can't comprehend. Hanabi and Mugi seem to have an ideal relationship, but their true feelings are hidden by their passions for others. They use each other as a way to satisfy their unrequited love. Hanabi is in love with Narumi Kanai, her new homeroom teacher who was also her childhood friend. Meanwhile, Mugi is in love with Akane Minagawa, who used to be his tutor when he was younger and now teaches at the same school as Kanai and Minagawa. As they both face the reality that their feelings may never be reciprocated, Hanabi and Mugi find comfort in each other's company as victims of the same pain. They must decide whether to accept their situation and move on or become more entangled in their unrequited love.
