Nowaki Asunaro has been cursed by bad fortune since his birth. Every step he takes is met with misfortune, whether it's a falling bucket of water on his head or being falsely accused of crimes he didn't commit. Despite his unlucky circumstances, he still holds onto the hope of becoming friends with Hashihime Banri. However, every time he comes close to her, his bad luck gets in the way. On a typical day for him, filled with unfortunate events, he finds himself taking shelter from the rain in an abandoned and run-down temple. He becomes ill from the cold and hunger but, in desperation, prays to the gods for survival and to befriend Banri. To his surprise, it seems like he has accidentally summoned a deity. Will this accident finally bring him the luck he's always been denied?
