Satosumi Takaguchi  

In January 1996, at her studio, I had the pleasure of meeting TAKAGUCHI Satosumi, the creator of Hana no Asuka-gumi!, along with SHIMAOKA Sakae, her editor from Kadokawa, and representatives from Columbia Edutainment. During our discussion about upcoming CD dramatizations of two of her recent works, I was struck by TAKAGUCHI's exceptional organization and responsibility as a shôjo manga artist.
