Ai Yazawa
Yazawa, who hails from Osaka, spent her formative years in Japan's Hyogo Prefecture before pursuing a career in fashion design at the prestigious Osaka Mode Academy. In 1985, she made her manga debut with "15th Year" in RIBON magazine, which focused on young love but was particularly admired for its exceptional sense of style. Since then, Yazawa has authored over eleven titles and sold more than one hundred million copies in Japan alone. Her work, including the acclaimed "NANA," which inspired multiple films, TV series, and even Gwen Stefani, has been translated into ten languages and is widely regarded as her defining piece.
