Akari Hoshi
Hoshi Akari is a Japanese author who was born in 1956 in Hyogo Prefecture. She studied literature at Ritsumeikan University before working at a school for handicapped children in her hometown. Her experiences there inspired her to write several books, two of which were turned into animated feature films: Momoko Kaeru no Uta ga Kikoeru yo and Daichan Daisuki.
