Stance Punks (スタンス・パンクス) is a Japanese punk rock group that came into existence in 1999. They gained notoriety through their performances at a rooftop live-venue located in Shimokitazawa. Overseas recognition came when their song "Mayonaka Shounen Totsugekidan" was utilized as the ending theme tune for Battle Royale 2. Additionally, their track "No Boy No Cry" served as the opening theme song for Naruto while "I Wanna Be" was employed as the concluding theme melody for Soul Eater. As of 2005, Stance Punks signed with Sony Epics' imprint known as Kowalski Records under which they released their single "Mony Mony Mony". Critics frequently draw parallels between them and The Blue Hearts, a highly popular punk band that shares a similar musical style.
