MINMI is a Japanese musician who specializes in hip-hop, soca, and reggae music. She is also known for her singing, songwriting, and record production skills. As the first soca artist from Japan, she has made significant contributions to the genre. In 2004, she sang "四季ノ唄/ Shiki no Uta" as the end credits theme for the anime Samurai Champloo. Her debut single in 2002, titled "The Perfect Vision," was a huge success and sold over half a million copies.
