From an early age, Shion Tsuji has been writing poems and song lyrics. At fifteen years old, while playing a guitar, she began learning to write music. Despite dropping out of high school in the first year, she moved to Tokyo to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. In autumn 2007, Tsuji self-produced an event commemorating 200 people and drew attention from Sony Music with her performance. She later signed with DefSTAR Records and released her debut single "Candy kicks" in 2008.
