John Gomez was born on his father Rick Sr.'s birthday in Bayonne, New Jersey. He is the first son in his family. In 1987, he moved with his family to South Plainfield, New Jersey, where he attended school. After graduating from high school, John moved to New York City to pursue acting.
John's big break came when he landed a recurring role as "Endless Mike" in the children's TV series The Adventures of Pete and Pete. His performance was highly praised by the show's creators on the DVD audio commentary. Since then, John has appeared in many other TV shows, telefilms, and feature films (see Filmography).
In addition to his acting career, John co-wrote and starred in the documentary-like film Last Man Running with director Damon Santostefano. The movie also featured his wife Jenifer Wymore-Gomez, brother Joshua Gomez, and other New York City film professionals as themselves. Last Man Running was screened at the Phoenix Film Festival.
John is also known for his voice acting work. He has lent his voice to several video games, including Call of Duty 2 Big Red One, Final Fantasy X-2, and Crisis Core.
