The band was formed in 2012 with Gorou Kurihara, Daichi Izumi, Hiroki Terasaka, and Kenta Matsui at EBiDAN The Live. They initially performed without a name until they received their official name as Customize in May of the same year. In October 2013, Matsui left and HAMA joined, resulting in the band's name change to Custumi Z. Prior to their debut, they covered popular anisong songs like "Hare Hare Yukai" and "Secret Base." Their official debut took place on August 27, 2014. As a rock band in the anisong industry, Custumi Z aimed for greatness. Gorou Kurihara (Vocals & Guitar, January 12, 1996) is the group leader and colorful personality, while Daichi Izumi (Drums, June 1, 1996) brings a steady rhythm to the band. Hiroki Terasaka (Bass, December 1, 1996) provides a solid foundation with his bass playing skills.
