Yoshio Mukainakano was born in Ashibetsu, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, in the year 1944. He is a renowned animator who founded and currently serves as the representative director of Studio Zaendou. As a child, he had the opportunity to witness Hakujaden, which significantly influenced his life and led him to pursue a career in animation. Despite being rejected as an assistant mangaka due to not having completed high school, Yoshio continued to draw and hone his skills during his free time. Eventually, after graduating from high school, he took part in a company entrance examination at Toei Animation and was accepted based on the drawings he presented. He worked for Toei until 1982 when he decided to become a freelancer and established Studio Zaendou.
