Georg Friedrich Handel, also known as Händel (February 23, 1685 - April 14, 1759), was a renowned German-British composer of the Baroque period. He is celebrated for his operas, oratorios, and concertos. Handel shared the same birth year as Johann Sebastian Bach and Domenico Scarlatti.
