Kaori Yuki's real name is "Kaori," and she became a professional manga artist in 1987 after winning one of the many contests held by Hana to Yume. Despite her fame, little is known about her personal life as she supposedly lives as a reclusive hermit with her cat. As of October 2007, Kaori has a three-year-old daughter and a newborn son.
