Katsuhito Akiyama  

Born in 1950, January 29th at Hokkaido, Japan, was a director of documentary films before joining the anime industry. His first project was "Protector" and he later worked as animation director on "Jarinko Chie," "Macross," and other productions. He joined AIC in 1986 where he created popular anime such as "Gall Force" and "Bubblegum Crisis." Mr. Akiyama is also known for his work directing the TV series "Ai No Kusabi," "El Hazard," and "Magical Girl Pretty Sammy." His latest project, "Armitage-Dual Matrix," continues to showcase his talent as an anime director.
