Susumu Hirasawa is a renowned Japanese electropop artist who initially pursued his studies at Tokyo Designer Gakuin College in 1972. From 1972 to 1978, he was part of the progressive rock band Mandrake, which drew inspiration from King Crimson and Yes. In 1979, Hirasawa formed P-Model, a techno-pop group comprised of former members of Mandrake. Throughout the 1980s, they released multiple albums. Following this, in 1989, Susumu began his solo career while simultaneously working with the reactivated P-Model starting in 1992. The P-Model project continued until 1999. In 2004, he established a new unit called Kaku P-Model, which essentially served as a continuation of his previous work with P-Model.
