Mario Castañeda is a Mexican actor and director who was born on June 29, 1962 in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. His parents moved to Mexico City when he was young, where he currently resides. He studied drama at the Andrés Soler Institute from 1979 to 1982 and began his career as a voice actor in Mexican dubs of television series such as Diffrent Strokes, The Powers of Matthew Star, and Visitors in June 1983. Castañeda has also worked on Japanese anime and provided the dubbing voices for many actors in movies, including Jim Carrey, Jackie Chan, and Bruce Willis.
